Eh, it's a start

I'm so lazy for not creating characters of my own, but I wanted to give a try to Anastasia from Lois Lowry's books. (Yep, I'm a woman-child *as well as* lazy, so what?)




(^I messed up, she's not a leftie. Oops.)


It's just one version though.
I will definitely be returning to the subject -- I'm gonna draw a decent Anastasia so help me blue fuzzy thing, and then the whole darling (if fictional) Krupnik family. I mean I couldn't possibly ignore Katherine or Myron... Or Sam, the combination of: all that is infuriatingly cute about 2-4-year-old toddlers + prematurely developed verbal skills + a tremendous sense of humour.

Pretty pointless

I haven't been posting a lot because of official doodling work. Sorry, me. I love the project, but I hate that I can't post pictures of it ("can't" meaning "am not allowed to". I COULD, because I finally got a new scanner! Yaaah!).
It's so much fun drawing these illustrations. You'll just have to take my word for it.
I'll post this little costume sketch, however, because even though it started out from the assignment, it's unrelated to the final illustration.


Maybe I've missed my calling as a fashion designer? Yeah, thought not.
