WI: Pervert (pretty wordy for an illustration...)

Watch out for a hefty file -- and don't look for anyone's likeness. You'd recognise these guys anyway without me knowing how to draw them.

Yeah, do you MIND, Emperor Pervertine?!

* * *

(A couple of WIP versions of this that I found fun:)

I shamelessly use kids! ...As a segue to one of my favourite SW-related quotes:

RABID STAR WARS FANS LIKE MYSELF
Ugh! This is the worst film in the series! These Ewoks! They’re so childish and ridiculous and cutesy!

GEORGE LUCAS
Uh.. folks.. these ARE children’s movies, you know.

RABID STAR WARS FANS LIKE MYSELF
Quiet! They are mature space sagas! Some of the greatest fantasy films ever made!

MARK HAMILL
I’d just like to mention that twenty minutes ago I had a deep conversation about the meaning of life with a green puppet.

--Rod Hilton (...whom I prefer to m15m, actually regardless of the fact his site predates it.)

(Sorry about that pretentious sentence above. :( Pretentia runs in my family.)

"Weekly Illustration": Computer nerd

(So it makes no sense at all. What exactly did you expect from me?)

A little layout

It's pretty cute, which is what I was going for. I don't set my sights too high at this point in my layout endeavours.
It's an igloo in a (rather Finnish-looking) winter forest, for a character that I'm trying to create.

I'm amused by inverted colours. :] God...

Independent troll ;)

I was supposed to be animating when I drew this. Good thing I didn't make like a new year's resolution about that or anything.

[Go see Valkyrie! Yeah!
Ok, so it has its few minor flaws. And sure, everybody knows the end result of the plot -- but it will still have you sweating the whole two hours. I could talk your ear off, ok? Just accept it's worth your while.]

Hey, don't clear my desk!

I can't be there on the first two days of school. :(
Enjoy your brief respite, classmates. I MISS SCHOOL. (Wow, I really just wrote that didn't I?) AND I MISS YOU. (Wow, etc.)

Have a video in the meantime.

Sounds Good To Me: Remastering The Sting

It's about a crucial part of filmmaking that's sometimes overlooked by the audience: sound design.

"This calls for a very special blend of psychology and extreme violence."

My first attempts at sketching Vyvyan from The Young Ones, for the maquette. Don't expect it anytime soon, though. There's still a lot of sketching to be done. And getting down a really characteristic pose, for one.

I just love Ade Edmondson's face, and when he's playing Vyv, the (already prominent) jaw is jutted out and the cheeks are sucked in.

I don't want to make it all realistic-like, more of a caricature. And I find it so hard to simplify people. I mean, for me it takes ages of drawing a person before I can "unearth" something that's simple but still recognisable. That's not a great way to do it, I'm pretty sure. I hope it's just lack of practise.

It isn't even fanart, more like a fandoodle.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, or holiday, and a Fun Funn New Year!

* * *

Want a friend? Tell me you like Master and Commander... (I'll shut up about it any day now, promise.) :) I know Britt does, and you trust her judgement, don't you?

I'm confined to SUCH PRIMITIVE CONDITIONS right now, therefore the awful picture quality etc. No scanner -- it's a photo; no Photoshop -- edited in MS Paint *laughing* *crying*
It's biro *happy*
(And it's not a troll, just yet. I'm all for the illustration challenge thing and will try to participate later.)

Aw, you'll always be a girly-man to me, Pullings. :P

I'm marooned in this armpit where bookplaces do not stock my drug of choice: I can't advance in the Aubrey-Maturin series. Fortunately I can re-read some of the earlier parts that I've stashed here, like Treason's Harbour. It's just as awesome as any other part of the epic, but as a bonus in the beginning it has TRASHED!Pullings. Pullings and Mowett trashed are funny. So, with their movie counterparts as models, I biro-ed them. Both acting quite uncharacteristically. The uniforms aren't accurate either, obviously. That's not the biro way.
